Internet Peering Ecosystem
Definition: The “Internet Peering Ecosystem” is a community of loosely affiliated network service providers that interact and interconnect their networks in various business relationships.

The Internet Peering Ecosystem in each Internet Region typically includes Tier 1 ISPs, Tier 2 ISPs, Content Providers, and potentially
- Content Providers that peer called Large Scale Network Savvy Content Providers (LSNSCP),
- independent Access Network Providers (cable companies, DSL providers, Satellite-based operators, etc.),
- Content Distribution Networks,
each with their position, motivations and predicatable and observed behavior. It is from these positions that we can infer their motivations and even predict their behavior observed in the Internet Peering Ecosytem.
